Overview:

When the Department of Justice (DOJ) decided to build their data center operations in Pocatello, Idaho, they sought a partner to staff the new data center with certified, cleared personnel. This was no easy task—the new data center was created to consolidate several data centers throughout the United States.

DOJ turned to ECS to recruit and retain subject matter experts across a number of highly technical fields including systems engineering, network engineering, storage engineering, and systems administration and integration.

Approach:

  • ECS’ program manager assigned a dedicated recruiter to the project, making staffing the number one priority
  • Through incentives like the ECS recruitment bonus program, continuing education reimbursement, and relocation support, ECS was able to quickly recruit and retain top talent
  • We partnered with organizations including Regional Economic Development for Eastern Idaho (REDI) and Idaho State University to deepen community ties and identify and cultivate talent
  • We created the ECS Innovation Lab, a cutting-edge facility for ECS employees and our DOJ counterparts to engage with the latest IT trends and technologies through vendor demos, community events, conferences, and application and infrastructure testing

ECS’ education reimbursement program attracts top talent to Pocatello and incentivizes employees to pursue new certifications on an ongoing basis.
