Marshall Thames oversees the Technology and Innovation group at ECS, advancing ECS’ differentiated capabilities and solutions, thought leadership, and go-to-market strategy to fuel growth. The Technology and Innovation group aligns ECS solutions to customer and business needs, strengthens critical growth initiatives, and expands the company’s ability to mobilize and develop talent across the business, with a goal of supporting and sustaining mission-enabling, industry-leading solution delivery. The Technology and Innovation group also oversees the development and marketing of ECS products.
Mr. Thames also serves as acting vice president of the Intel business unit. Prior to joining ECS, he was president of InfoReliance, where he led all aspects of the company’s daily operations including business development, service delivery, headquarters services, and finance and accounting.
Mr. Thames has more than 25 years of progressive leadership and business experience within the information technology industry. He served as senior director of product development for MROLink Corporation, an internet company that developed an online, business-to-business exchange supporting global manufacturers. Mr. Thames was also founder of DaVinci Partners, a technology consulting firm focused on delivering custom software solutions for logistics, manufacturing, operations, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Before launching DaVinci Partners, Mr. Thames served in several roles at Microdyne Corporation, a publicly traded manufacturer of hardware and software communications products supporting a wide range of platforms, from mainframes to servers to PCs. As vice president of product management and engineering, he oversaw global marketing and engineering of the firm’s products. He previously served as assistant vice president of operations, supporting manufacturing, logistics, analytics, and the company’s M&A activities.
