FAIRFAX, VA September 20, 2017—ECS has been named one of three awardees who will provide Science and Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) Strategic Technology Office (STO). This recompete award will allow ECS to continue its work at STO, where it has been embedded for 15 years. The new indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a total ceiling value of $200 million, over a five-year period of performance.

ECS has a proven track record at DARPA and serves as a prime SETA contractor in three of the six DARPA technical offices, including STO. “We are very proud of our 40-year history at DARPA. Our success is a result of our commitment to provide the highest caliber of talent and qualified experts across a diverse range of defense-related technologies,” said George Wilson, CEO at ECS. These technology areas include biometrics, space communication, cyber, maritime, electronic warfare, radar, robotics, photonics, nanotechnology, neuroscience, mechanical limbs, and more. To that end, the ECS STO team consists of specialized technical experts from more 25 small businesses, subcontractors, and independent contractors. The ECS team has been able to work seamlessly in support of DARPA project managers. “This award reinforces our position as one of the primary technical advisers to DARPA,” stated Wilson. “Our team is dedicated and finds the work extremely rewarding. DARPA continues to be a valued customer with a critical mission we are excited to support.”
