As senior vice president of enterprise solutions at ECS, John Heneghan leads the delivery of enterprise IT operations for federal civilian and defense agencies such as the United States Postal Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Health and Human Services, the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor, the Defense Information Systems Agency, and the U.S. Army. Enterprise capabilities include IT modernization, software development, IT operations, geographic information systems (GIS), cybersecurity, cloud services and data analytics. Mr. Heneghan has a passion for building high-performing teams, delivering results to ECS customers, and expanding the company’s customer base and solution offerings. He has more than 17 years of experience in emerging technology and digital transformation, IT product development, managed services, program management, business process operations, business strategy, and corporate development.
Prior to joining ECS in 2017, Mr. Heneghan served as a vice president at CGI Federal, an IT and business consulting firm. In that role, he was a senior executive responsible for overseeing DHS, the United States Coast Guard, and the Office of Personnel Management programs. Mr. Heneghan consistently grew CGI’s DHS sector more than 25% year over year, and diversified the portfolio to include citizen services, engineering services, cloud and managed services, software development, and cybersecurity solutions which included the award of DHS’s Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) contract and the subsequent CDM Credentialing Task Order. Mr. Heneghan also led business development operations and the capture of key strategic contracts at Stanley Associates (now part of CGI Federal) during his tenure as director of corporate development and director of proposals.
Mr. Heneghan has a bachelor’s degree in speech and English education from the University of Maryland.
